I think we all knew that Guardiola would be taking over in the summer. Worst kept secret and all that.
The timing of the announcement is intriguing. Is ther a late signing in the offing?
One now worries in case this early announcement will have an impact on the rest of the season. Some people will know their time is up and will see their replacements waiting in the wings. Will they say that they will give Pellers a good send off with a couple of trophies or will the say sod it.

Very nice but I am awaiting Gal's confirmation before I really believe it. Be interesting to see how the players react, up it to try and give Pellers a good send off or sack it off til the summer.

Is Yaya likely to leave now also?

Not much love lost, by all accounts.

We will now be linked to every player in BCN and Munich till August.

Late Pogba bid?

Good bit from Pep Reid;

Quote:
"I think he will be a big asset. No disrespect to Manuel Pellegrini, who has done a good job. It is accepted in European football that coaches move clubs and that the news is out in the public domain. But really Pellegrini has been keeping his seat warm, again without being disrespectful.

"Anybody who looks at City now, the training complex is one of the best as is the stadium and they have world class players. United, Chelsea and the big clubs would love this guy so City have done great business.

"I have nothing but admiration for Pellegrini. This could still be a really successful season for him and Manchester City. Knowing the club how I do, Mr Pellegrini will have been kept up to date. They will have done it right."

Welcome to the loan system son.

Not that there was any suggestion he wasn't happy playing for Pellers, but I feel happier about Sergio's long term future at the club with Pep in charge.

Of course this is super exciting for the club and supporters, but did we need to communicate it now?! Mid-frikkin season? It makes no sense.

And, I do whole-heartedly hope that Pellers was told this before this season started, if not earlier.

Might be time for Lionel to come to the premier league too. :pray:
