I can't help noticing that we hardly talk about City anymore on here.

Am I right?

Having not renewed my seasoncards this season I find myself much less fussed about it tbh.
Even our last two results I kind of meet with a "huh" rather than the ruined weekends I would have had a couple of years ago.
Not just City though. I think I've sort of fallen out of love with football generally maybe?

it's not as fun being on the other side of a battling defensive display full of heart that results in nicking a point or three from a better team.

i think this weekend's game got me a little with the absolute shite nature of their opener. the majority of football chat seems to be a negative reaction, ie so and so is shit, we need a full back, etc. etc. when the team is as good as it is what is there to post about it? even with the last couple of weeks results we're not in danger of relegation, just of being a couple more points from the top of the league against a chelsea team that looked to be running away with it before christmas and a minor hiccup. it lacks drama.

I don't think we're quite there yet. Another 10 years of success and we'll have a generation of fans who remember and expect nothing less and think supporting your team is about being an obnoxious arrogant dickhead about everyone else's, then we're in trouble.

I've been a handful of times in the last five years, mostly away. Haven't missed it all all tbf. :TopHat1 Tbh other fans do my fucking head in. We had thousands and thousands of moaning bastards in the ground when we were shite, now we've got an amazers team and we have thousands and thousands of moaning bastards in the ground. Fucking arseholes.

And what is there to talk about any more?

Having said all of the above, we never really talk about cheese any more either. i blame Badger.

I can't say that I get worked up any more. I have come to expect success after so many years of expecting failure. I don't seem to make as much effort to ensure that I get to see a game.

We did have a half hearted cheese chat recently though but you're right, Badger was King of Cheese dialogue.

I find we still manage to do things the hard way, and a pasting by Barca will not only give me weeks of shit from a tonne of people , but also a reality check.

:TopHat1

I spoke to her at Christmas. She was visiting London and was going to meet me and Paddy for a pint. Didn't turn up though - she got lost.
