Hi Guys,

Does anyone know where I can get "Blue Moon" reliably translated into Arabic script?

Been wanting to get a new tattoo for a few years, but as a tat is for life, I like to think things through for a while.

Now, the week I was born, in Manchester, Blue Moon by the Marcels was No1 in the charts. (That sort of gives my age away, doesn't it?)
Looks like I was destined to be a Man City fan!
We know what Blue Moon means to all of us.
The club is owned by Arabs, and will be for some time to come, so I was thinking of getting "Blue Moon" tattooed on my arm in Arabic script.

No using Google Translate, I want a reliable translation please.

Well Keithy, where to start. You should know that there are many different arabic languages as such. Algerian arabic differs to Qatari etc, they are all regional. There is a news channel for all arabian countries that is spoken in Egyptian arabic which is kind of a meeting point for all arabic dialects and most understand.

It could be but not limited to;

القمر الأزرق

or

مزرق القمر

or

السماء الزرقاء القمر

As commendable an idea as this is, I personally think you should go for it in French (spoken in many arabic countries) which would be: 'Lune Bleue'.

There's nothing more reliable than the Koran when it comes to Arab writing. We were singing a passage of it the other day when 'blue moon' came up. It's definitely the middle one as above.
