Hi lads,

Big fan of your forums - congratulations to all involved.

My name is David Lyons and I am the editor of
www.NononsenseFootball.com

Your club's section on our website requires its Ultimate Legend!

We are asking all posters on these forums to vote for your club's
Ultimate Legend. The vote will occur right here over the next seven
days when we will collate the findings and add the name of your
official ultimate club legend to our website.

All the contributors to these forums have to do is post the name of
the person they feel is the club's biggest legend in its entire
history in this thread.

The ultimate legend will be a player or manager who has represented
the club at any stage throughout its existence.

I am very grateful for your cooperation to this project as we search
for your club icon that will be listed forever on our new website on
your club's homepage.

Please enter the name of the person you feel deserves the title as
your club's "Ultimate Legend" below.

Many thanks,

David

name our forum and show this isn't some copy paste spiel you vomit onto every single football forum you can find in google to try and generate traffic for your site.

My Dad always used to say of Alan Ball "it just goes to show,a great player doesn't always make a great manager".

He was a very good player. whether he verged on great would be debatable. It would depend on your definition of great. You would not put him in the class of Puskas, Best,Bell , Law Cruyff, Pele, ladyboy messi or Gerd Muller and beckenbauer or even the fat dago cheating Junkie but he was very good.

He gave us the right run around when I played against him at U13 at school.

I was thinking that of the 1966 team a number tried their hand at Management and failed. Even the very great Bobby Moore failed at Southend, Charlton R and Stiles tried and failed at Preston. Alan Ball had a longer career, but I suppose you might say that the best and most successful was Charlton J.

Is he whom you have chosen?

Then you have misinterpreted the mood of the forum.

There is a very big queue before him.

What about Law,Bell,Lee, Meredith, Jack Rigby, Joe Hayes, Matt Busby, Neil Young, Don Revie and about a hundred others
