Sad to see Johnno leave but, from what I've seen of Sinclair, he seems to be more in the mould of the current team if you know what I mean?

Lower centre of gravity, better balance, quicker brain maybe?

Still nice and direct though and a good eye for goals.

Well i am expecting him to sign now Johnno has gone and we have been linked with him for too long for me to believe he wont end up a City player.

Done and dusted. I have not seen enough of this guy to know whether I should be excited or not.

Me neither. The fact that Chelsea let him go isn't a great sign. Decent clubs don't usually let good players go. Certainly not ones who have the potential to become world class anyway.

Well........maybe!

Swansea City turn down £6.2m Man City bid for Scott Sinclair

Swansea City have rejected a bid of £6.2m from Manchester City for Scott Sinclair, BBC Sport Wales understands.

Sinclair, 23, was left out of the Swans squad for Saturday's home game with West Ham United and has told the club he will not sign a new contract.

Reports suggested Swansea had accepted a bid from City, but chairman Huw Jenkins said on Monday that a deal had not been reached.

"We haven't actually agreed any deal with Man City at the moment," he said.

"I would have thought if they really wanted to sign Scott Sinclair they would have dealt with it a little bit better than they have. But that's their business.

"But it has dragged on too long and I hope one way or another it will be concluded the next couple of days."

Jenkins said manager Michael Laudrup is hoping to further strengthen his squad before the transfer window closes on Friday.

Swansea have brought in Spaniards Chico and Michu, the latter scoring three times in his first two games, as well as Dutchman Jonathan de Guzman and South Korean Ki Sung-Yeung this summer, while midfielder Joe Allen left to join former boss Brendan Rodgers at Liverpool.

"Hopefully, over the next few days, we'll get a couple of more signings in and we can put the transfer window behind us at the end of the month," Jenkins said on Radio Wales Sport.

"Our proposed signing of a couple of players is not dependent on Scott's transfer out. I think it's more about numbers and making sure we have the right number in the squad."

Swansea 3-0 West Ham: Laudrup thrilled with start

Another player who could leave Swansea during the coming days is defender Garry Monk, who has been linked with a move to Bristol City.

Jenkins confirmed he and manager Laudrup had held talks with Monk but insisted the former Southampton player would not be forced to leave the club.

"One of the things we've had over the years is a fantastic nucleus of players that have stayed with us and Garry's been part of that," Jenkins said.

"We've talked things through, myself and the manager with Garry, and Garry's main aim is to try and play football.

"That's what he wants and we'll see what happens over the next few days.

"In no way is he ever going to be pushed out of our football club. He's part and parcel of it.

"But his wishes are taken into account and whatever decision we make over the next few days, and Garry decides to make, we'll work together on it."

Jenkins denied speculation that Monk moving to Bristol City would see winger Albert Adomah moving in the opposite direction.

The Swansea chairman also said there was no truth in rumours the club had agreed a fee with Crewe for midfielder Ashley Westwood.

We really really should have held onto AJ till we knew Sinclair was done and dusted.

While I couldn't give two shits about the deal falling through, it was a strange decision to start a thread saying "welcome to the club son" to a player who hadn't signed for us.

Sounds like we never even agreed a fee with them, yet alone spoke to the player

The Swansea chairman probably read that, thought fuck them, and stuck another £0.9million on the transfer fee.

Can't imagine Sinclair being too happy when he read it either. Bit presumptuous imo. Seems to have fucked the job right up.

Is it too far to say that Gal ruined the guy's career?

He might be better off playing regularly at Swansea - or more likely after this - the Championship anyway. It's entirely possible Sinclair will end up thanking Gal for what he's done.

So, some reports suggested the deal was as good as done and you accepted that as fact.
Now some reports say it's hit a snag and equally, you assume it's dead in the water?

Maybe it is.

Tbf Gal, we have told you many many times not to believe much of the transfer tittle-tattle in the press. It's good for a rumours thread and not much more.

We need to stage some kind of transfer window intervention for you.

i think restricting his internet access would be a good start. then getting him banned from all newsagents in a 50mile radius.

Can someone move this to transfers, rather than players please?

Reflects badly on all of us
