Manchester City star Sergio Aguero is wanted by fellow countryman Lional Messi at Barcelona next season, according to Football Espana.
Argentine forward Messi has reportedly asked that the club look at the potential singing of Aguero as part of new terms over a deal currently being discussed.

It is thought that he has concerns over how the clubs playing squad is being moved forward and this is stalling him signing a new contract - on which the financial side is thought to have been settled.

Messi wants the team to compete for trophies again after a lacklustre season and believes the singing of his ‘compatriot and friend’ will lead the way in doing so.

It is unclear whether Aguero would be tempted back to Spain, having left Atletico Madrid to sign for Manchester City back in 2011.

The Argentina hit man picked up yet another injury during the club’s 3-2 win over Everton, one of many this season that has limited his playing time.

However in just 22 starts he has scored 17 goals in the league this season, and 28 in 33 appearances in all competitions, and would undoubtedly add quality to Barcelona’s squad.

You know...Eventually Messi has to be sold and Barca will not let a good offer get away. When it's time, Barca will be ready to listen but it's up to Messi to see if he wants to play anywhere else when Barca feels the temptation of making money.
