Seems to be more than just a rumour now; definitely deserves a thread of his own. Already have a bit of a stiffy over this, I genuinely think we'll sign him. *famouslastwords*

Sergio Aguero set to join Manchester City in next 48 hours

SERGIO AGUERO is expected to join Manchester City in the next 48 hours for £38million.

But the dream of him pairing fellow Argentine striker Carlos Tevez is fading fast, after he told his agents once again – I don’t want to play for City anymore.

Manager Roberto Mancini has been pressuring his board to spend, so the club can maintain a realistic title challenge against Manchester United this season.

And after three days of discussions with Aguero, a deal seems imminent – with the forward set to snub rival offers from Inter Milan and Tottenham.

The Italians have offered Aguero, 23, a huge sponsorship deal, while Spurs will dangle a six-year contract and the promise he will be their main star.

But Aguero was impressed with City chief Mancini, who told him where the club was heading and about his role in the side.

The mega-rich Premier League outfit are also willing to pay him £190,000-a-week in wages.

The Atletico Madrid frontman insists his move will be based on ambition – rather than cash – and his agents are joining him in Buenos Aires tonight to make his final decision.

City have made it clear they want him on board by Tuesday – and that is when they will enter deeper talks over Tevez’s future with agent Kia Joorabchian.

Tevez, 27, remains desperate to return to South America so he can be closer to his wife and kids.

He was disappointed when his proposed move to Corinthians collapsed. The transfer window has closed in Brazil now, but sources there insist the deal is not off and could still be struck for him to take a break and then join them in January.

A lawyer is also flying into Manchester with Joorabchian as they attempt to work out what happens next with Tevez.

Inter Milan are still waiting to pounce, despite the fact Tevez is adamant he does not want to play in Europe.

From La Marca, sorry no time to translate properly!

The Omen saga continues ... but could prove beneficial to all parties, as the Argentine soccer has already given its approval to their representative, Hernan Reguera, to be carried out a move to Manchester City. The striker continues to Buenos Aires and has studied carefully the only two offers that he was responsible for filtering.

The only international albiceleste contemplated to head to Turin or Manchester, and finally the Premier League will be your fate if nothing happens out of the ordinary. It only remains to close once and for all the details of the operation. And that will be in London, a city that will travel on Wednesday Agüero probably accompanied by his representative to meet with leaders Manchester City and an emissary of Atletico, who could be the same José Luis Pérez Caminero.

So, Kun sign in principle to a contract for the next five seasons with the Manchester institution, which has already reached an agreement with Atletico to pay 45 million is taxed at the termination clause of the Argentine striker .

It seems Zabs is more than playing his part in trying to bring him to City. If it happens I may have to abandon my no tatoos policy and get Zabs' face tatood across my ballbag.

Get his face tatooed across your face.....Or his six-pack tatooed on your belly.

Anyway. Latest:

Quote:
Sergio Aguero is jetting in to seal his £40 million switch to Manchester City, according to 'MailOnline'.

The Argentina striker will land in London on Wednesday to finalise negotiations over joining the mega-rich Barclays Premier League side, it said.

Aguero is seen as a perfect replacement for Carlos Tevez, who is currently in limbo after his own £40 million move to Corinthians collapsed last week.

Aguero is due to sign a five-year deal at the Etihad Stadium and wages of around £200,000 per week after forcing his exit from Atletico Madrid, the report added.

The 23-year-old will be accompanied by his agent Hernan Reguera ahead of securing the lucrative deal.

Aguero failed to show up for training with Atletico at the weekend as Roberto Mancini pushed for the deal to be tied up.

Aguero has stayed in Argentina for the last 10 days after their quarter-final exit from the Copa America.

City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak is believed to have been in Madrid on Monday to complete negotiations, according to the report.

City head to Ireland this weekend to play friendlies against an Irish XI on Saturday and Inter Milan on Sunday, and they are keen to have Aguero in a sky blue shirt by then.

Not a good idea.

People may not know that it's Zaba's ballbag. Which would leave you open to ridicule.

Really?
I wouldn't know it even if it was rested on me chin.

You could have a scroll I suppose....."Zaba's Ballbag" in nice script, that'd be alright.

Not if you had the scroll below your neckline.
When you go for a job interview with a collar and tie they wouldn't see the scroll, just the ballbag. That'd be alright. :approve:
