Not for me the granny shagging, wife cheating, money grabbing scumbag. Plus he once stamped on a city scarf after getting substituted at COMS. He'd only be doing it for the dosh and to wind up fergie.

I was a definite no, until you said that.

Well it would appear fairly fucking stupid when Rooney and Tevez played at united they never played together cos they are tasked with a very similar role. SO, what would this spell for Carlitos? Who I might add has just scored 19 goals in 18 wins for City or something amazing.

If Carlitos left, then yes we'd need to fill that role but to add Rooney would be plain stupid.

We need a striker to augment Tevez' work. Not Rooney. Plus I fucking despise that prick.

This. We need a one touch type of player, someone with a good head game, tall, athletic. An adebayor type player...

It's a no from me.

He carries far too much baggage and, as above, he's not what we need right now.

A fit Balotelli or an Adebayor with a work ethic is what we need.

He's too much like Tevez is his style of play, and IMO, Tevez is better.

Let him sulk off to some other club. From his performances this yet, not just this new season, his head isn't in it at the moment. That's the kind of player you steer well clear of.

I still wouldn't mind Torres though.
Him and Silva in the team could allow Teves the odd day off too.

Fernando Llorente Torres >> Fernando Torres Sanz

Rooney can fuck off, the last thing we want to be doing is digging the rags out of a hole by giving them £50m for a player who's playing shit and causing trouble behind the scenes.

I think we should buy Rooney and kill him.*

It's a "no" from me too. For all the reasons already mentioned.

If we bought him he'd a playing second fiddle to Tevez, and it wouldn't be long before he threw his toys out of the pram and started whining. Did I hear 38 goals in the last 41 league games for Tevez? How the fuck would Rooney get in the side?

I've never liked Rooney, and i've always thought he's been over-rated by the press. Having said that, last season, even i started to admit he looked good. But this season he's completely lost it. Makes me wonder how long his fallout with Fergie has really been going on.

Whether he would fit into the City team is a different matter. Adebayor and Santa Cruz would almost certainly be gone by then, giving us a forward line option of Rooney, Tevez and Balotelli, which would scare the shit out of most sides.

What it would do, would confirm a power shift in English and certainly Manchester football. It would be like United handing over the city keys to us saying 'You're in charge now', which don't under-estimate this, i reckon our owners if they had a chance to do this, almost certainly would.

Yernited we know have got no money, and we know they don't want Rooney walking out for nothing in 2012, so i would expect that they would look to sell at the earliest opportunity to get maximum money for him. This January looks like it could be on then. Unless in the meantime he has a change of heart and stays where he is.

I think the only way that scum is going to claw back a few crumbs of integrity is if he leaves the English game for a few years, improves his teckers, wins us the world cup and comes home to play out his career humbled at Everton. Anything else is ash in my mouth.

No, only because of the Tevez factor, but apart from City where else would he go ? who else in the league would fork out 50 mill plus. He'd have to go abroad, Real is the only place I could see him going.

Having said that I do think that an on form Rooney is one of the best in the world. top 10 at least. Showed on many occasions that he's world class.
