The 25 man squad isn't announced until September 1st. You're thinking of the Europa League.

Balotelli is not included in the premier league squad as he is under 21, of which you can have an unlimited number.

Ahhh thanks mate, that's where I was getting confused.

Cheers for that.

Really class flash intro to his personal website, he's gone up hugely in my estimation. http://www.mariobalotelli.it/

Quality signing i think, will be great for us. I think he'll be a first team regular so it'll be good to see how Mancini constructs his formation in the coming weeks.

Not been here 12 hours and he's saying he'd have rather stayed in Italy, but will hope that a calming atmosphere here will help him, won't be anything calming at all about this season.

Randy Lerner doesn't seem to know the rules.

Quote:
Lerner claims City have broken rules by continuing their interest in the England international after being told Villa did not want to sell.

He told The Mail on Sunday: "Big, bad Manchester City came along and asked for Milner and we said, 'no, he is not for sale'. And under the rules you have to respect that.

"Manchester City respected that for two whole days. And then they violated the rules and came in for him again."

Yes, apparently bidding for a player a second time after having a bid rejected is against the rules now.

Doesn't matter really does it? How many players sign for a club but wish other options were available? Quite a few I'd say - only Balotelli is outspoken and talks about it. Won't affect anything.

Was on the Stadium tour on Friday afternoon with my 2 nephews when Balotelli walked past us outside the window of one of the restaurants. Also saw him again later. My nephews waved at him and he smiled and waved back which absolutely made their day particularly as it was about 4.00 and nobody was reporting that he had signed yet. He's a big bugger!

Any news of progress re Milner.
I am still not sure why we are making such an effort to be honest.
