'West Ham reject bid from Tottenham for Scott Parker.'

This smacks of Rednapp trying to make up english in team, I think we are going to see a lot more of this sort of thing.

Robinho is a good player but he is mentally weak. He is the kind of person who needs to be the star. He loves being home and wants to stay. He goes to the beach after every practice, and walks around being treated like a Hero. He has said he's tired of the rain and the cold weather. I would rather have a player who wants to be here than one who is going to pout and not give 100%.

Just the 60 then to consider;

Emmanuel Adebayor will be City’s new No.9 this season as the changes to shirt numbers are made.

Valeri Bojinov’s departure for Parma in June meant the traditional centre-forward's number was available and the Togolese striker, signed from Arsenal a year ago, has made it his.

Jerome Boateng is confirmed as wearing 17, vacated by Martin Petrov after three seasons, but new defender Aleksandar Kolarov has yet to be allocated one of the remaining numbers.

mcfc.co.uk will let you know which one Aleksandar will wear, and any other alterations before the season starts, as soon as they are confirmed.

But another of City’s summer captures does know which shirt he will occupy – midfielder Yaya Toure will sport the number 42.

1. Given
2. Hart - linked away (loan)
3. Taylor

4. Richards
5. Boateng
6. Zabaleta
7. K.Toure
8. Kompany
9. Lescott
10. Kolarov
11. Bridge - linked away
12. Onuoha - linked away

13. Silva
14. Barry
15. Milner
16. Y.Toure
17. De Jong
18. Ireland - linked away
19. Wright-Phillips - linked away
20. Vieira
21. Johnson

22. Tevez
23. Jo
24. Bellamy - linked away
25. Adebayor

Under 21s

Balotelli, Boyata, Cunningham, Ibrahim, Weiss, Nimeley and Guidetti.

If some of the players linked with moves away, do move, then I can only think of Robinho, Santa Cruz and Gonzales for Hart, to replace them.

I think we will be the only team getting near 25 men in the squad.

Earlier today (because I have no life/girlfriend) I decided to work out quite who Mancini should pick as his 25. I had already had an attempt, but that was a bit shit, so here goes!

First 25:
Keepers: Given, Hart, Taylor
Defenders: Richards, Onuoha, Boateng, Kompany, Lescott, K Toure, Kolarov, Bridge, Zabaleta

Midfield: Silva, A Johnson, Barry, De Jong, Y Toure, SWP, Ireland, Vieira/Milner

Forwards: Tevez, Robinho, Adebayor, Bellamy, Santa Cruz

Senior U21s:
Defenders: Boyata, Cunningham, Vidal, Helan
Midfielders; Weiss, Ibrahim,
Strikers: Nimely, Guidetti, Balotelli (?)

Scrap Heap:
Goalkeepers: Gonzales,
Defenders: Garrido, Shaleum Logan
Midfielders: Etuhu
Strikers: Caicedo, Jo

If we sign Milner, we could just use Vieira in cup games, and for experience, and leave him out the squad. Also, tehre's no real point putting Johnson in until January, as he is unlikely to be back until Nov/Dec time.

Any suggestions?

You mention 9 senior u21 players so does that your allowed 34 players really?

There isn't a specific number. You can have as many players as you want U21. But, first team with 25, and 8 homegrown.

So can the u21 players play in the 1st team, or just the 25 registerd, or can you put some u21s in if senior players get injured. This rule is shit

Right then, if we are to assume yesterday's squad was made up out of the 25 players, I'm guessing the final 25 will be something like this:

Keepers: Hart, Given, Taylor
Defenders: Richards, Zabaleta, Boateng, Toure, Lescott, Kompany, Kolorov, Bridge
Midfielders: De Jong, Vieira, Yaya Toure, Barry, Milner, Adam Johnson, Wright-Phillips, Silva
Strikers: Tevez, Adebayor, Balotelli, Jo

Don't know if Balotelli has to be included or not - if not, then I guess Robinho or someone like that will be number 25.

i would say that robinho will prolly be given a nother chance cos ballotelli is under 21 and therefore does not need to be included in the 25, also, how old is johnson? if he is under 21 then we can put another midfielder in there

other than that - yup, this is it for me too

I dont mind this.

Tell you what between Robinho and Balotelli I wonder who will cause the most problems at the club. Be really interesting to see.
