Great news if true, but I did read something earlier about MacLaren making it his first job to keep hold of him.

Be farewell to RSC or Ade (or maybe both) if he does sign.

It sure would. It'll be interesting to see how it all pans out TBH, but as long as we get decent full backs for each side, I'm happy.

I hadn't heard of him until he scored against the rags. What's he like then?

It's more than we paid for Robinho. Current exchange rate puts 40M euros at just under 34M pounds.

I don't mean in terms of relative global economics, I mean in terms of the player market. Look at five/six years back, when the biggest players in the world were touted at £30m/35m. Nowadays, valuations seem to be as high as £80m. And I don't think the quality has increased that dramatically over these years.

Doesn't any one else get tired it being Spurs and Villa signing all the best English talent while we're always linked with Gzenko Mzkenic or Gunizlar Tanzqi or Umbobo Bopou?! Why can't we be linked with people that normal folks, rather than just perverts, have heard of.

Maybe because English players aren't as good?

Name a better English striker apart from Rooney.
