Doesn't any one else get tired it being Spurs and Villa signing all the best English talent while we're always linked with Gzenko Mzkenic or Gunizlar Tanzqi or Umbobo Bopou?! Why can't we be linked with people that normal folks, rather than just perverts, have heard of.

Dzeko is extremely gifted. Fast, tall, strong, good technique. Perhaps the best striker in Bundesliga for the last decade. Last year 2nd best scorer with 26goals after his teammate Grafite who shoots the penalties ^^ This year top-scorer with 22 goals, although his team hadn't played as well as the year before. And he is still young.
If you could sign him this would be a real big thing for you. But I don't think Wolfsburg will let him go away for less than 40mio €. Although his name isn't as melodic an he isn't that famous outside germany yet.
By the way he seems very down-to-earth.

[quote="Bastard"]I only ever wagged three afternoons:

1. My mate had taped Wrestlemania VI for me and I went home to watch it.

2. Went to watch Iron Maiden

3. Went to watch David Lee Roth

Crouch is better?

I take it you haven't seen Dzeko play or seen his goal record?

Most football players are wankers. The money gets to their heads, English players are probably the worst tbf. Cole, Lampard, Terry, Gerrard etc aren't exactly role models.

Yes he is.

Bild doesn't writes that you have signed him. But they say it seems that you're going to bring up the necessary security/bank guarantee (don't know the word) today before the buy-out clause expires at midnight.

John Terry won dad of the year. I wonder if he'll lift the "husband of the year" title in 2010.

Perhaps Joey Barton will be awarded the "Model Prisoner Of The Year" award next.

Been on talkbollocks all day about how Dzeko has written a letter to city, asking to join.

People are taking it as a given we'll sign him?

If we don't sell Tevez in January I think Dzeko might wait 'til Summer - if at all.

If all this speculation is true (which often, it isn't) then I presume he will sign in January. He is a good player from what I've seen, so I'd love to see him in a City shirt, with Tevez rather than as a replacement.

Wolfsburg have made no secret of the fact that they will demand a veyr high price...£40m i believe their chairman stated in an interview recently. Players are more expensive in Jan anyway so if we can wait, I think we will.

If we offer them £30 million, then I doubt they'll think they can get any more than that. And if he doesn't want to be there, there's no point in keeping him. Same could be said for Tevez, but that's different :p

Absolutely..he is a player who must play with another.
sctheeeve maclaren played him as a lone, and wolfsburg were getting leathered with the formation, and went back to 442 apparently...

But yeah its just speculation as to us getting him.#but its true about him and his letter to city though...

mancini said today he is confident that t***z will stay

however, if we get shot of , or shoot, rsc and adebayor then we will still need at least one more striker anyway

He also said he didn't think Tevez really wants to leave  I wouldn't read too much into it.

I've decided that as long as nothing proper underhand crops up between now and Monday, I for one will give him a good reception if he plays. No point in the fans banging another nail in the coffin until it's clear that the situation isn't going to change for the better IMO.
