If Mancini's last signing was anything to go by, Milner will be an excellent signing and one for the future.

Vieira?

I suspect Mancini knew very little about the signing of AJ. From what I read at the time the transfer had been lined up by Marwood well in advance of the window. I think he was going to brought in regardless of the wishes of Hughes or Mancini.

Probably.

Mancini would never bring in someone who had an eye for goal, pace in abundance, skill, the will to take defenders on.

True.

Vieira's much more the Mancini style player.

Not seen as much as you I don't think, but when I have seen him he's been completely average.

Milner is a brilliant player who can play anywhere across the midfield.

If we buy him i'll be buzzing

How's his passing?

I figured Mancini was more into the physical sort of midfielders tbh, and that's why he wasn't playing Ireland? He plays in a similar sort of role to Milner, and he hasn't been getting games under Mancini, so I'm not sure what the deal is with this one. Quality player though, obviously.

Milner = another Marwood signing.

You heard it here first.

**Waits for Harry Redknapp's "scouting network" to recommend he makes a bid**

Milner's physical enough, no doubt about that. He's got all the right attributes including having no neck which is essential to the midfield enforcer these days.

I'd love to keep Ireland but i don't think we will. I am 80% sure that a player at our club described Ireland as the most skilled at the club but i can't think who it was. Milner Love him to come in, Ireland love him to stay.

His passing is excellent and he is a more physical sort.

He also has a jaw of steel.

Villa's spokesman has said they have rejected a bid. This feels like the Lescott saga all over again.

Now we've made a bid it is only a matter of time before he signs.
