Hopefully we'll have about £50mill, as we still need to buy a really decent out and out goalscorer.

Totally agree with this. A 20 goal a season merchant would make a lot of difference to us I feel.

I think Dunne will definately go. I think that was on the cards anyway he has been with us a long time and was never keen on signing a new contract.

He has been a very loyal servant and our best player over the last few seasons so he goes with my blessing and thanks.... to Newcastle or Celtic I would think.

Its possible Richards could go as well as hes not wanted to sign a new deal either and has made it clear he wants CL football next season. The main reason he hasnt signed a contract is his dad was insisting he had an escape clause if certain sides came in. Quite rightly we refused; Oldham get 20% of any fee so the board have made it clear he wont go for a penny less than £25 million (and probably more if Chelsea are interested)

Its also possbile Ireland will go to Sunderland if they offer big money (£8 million for him is daft money) after that I cant see that many other changes other that the 12 or so other players that are either out of contract and and wont be offered new deals or are surplus to requirements (Samaras, Corradi, Sun etc etc etc...).

The big question is how much extra money will Frank put in ? Like 99% of city fans I think its madness to get rid of Sven after such a successful first season. He has got the team together moral was high. With another £20 - £30 million on top of the money we will bring in for the players that do leave we could buy 5 or 6 players of Corluka / Elano / Petrov standard that would make us a dead cert for a european place.

I also think Liverpool are in a much bigger state than we are. No one can say their 4th spot is safe moving forwards especially if the fat controller is sacked...

Finally someone who agrees with me :)

Rather than buying cheap junk, hoping they'll turn into prominent goalscorers, we need to buy someone Torres-esque. ;)

yup. It's false economy. Maybe Ched might be it, which would be great. I'd like to see us break the bank for a proven goalscorer.

THis was all said last year when we signed Bianchi for £8 million......

That signing will probably be one of the key factors if sven looses his job.
