Based on this World Cup performances, Keisuke Honda. Attacking midfielder, 24 years old, pretty physical, lots of flair and skill. Undoubtedly he'd turn out shit though, like every other player signed on the basis of World Cup performances.

To be fair, he'd already been released by Arsenal by the time Fulham signed him on the back of his 2002 performance. It's not like Liverpool signing Diouf or Man Utd signing Karel Poborsky and Jordi Cruyff. But this Honda fella has been really impressive.
