think you might have got your exchange rates wrong there mate, no way Viera's on £250,000 a week.

Adding a bit of quality experience is never a bad thing. I think Viera was one of the best players to ever grace the premiership in his prime. He also hates keane :approve:. Good stuff

He hates Neville as well.

Being too slow for Italian football is bollocks, the game gets played at a very slow pace, being the holding midfielder does not require much speed at all, even in England, look at some of the best holding midfielders ever, none of them were ever that fast and never did their speed hold any significant values.

As a free/loan I wouldn't mind.

He can play against the Hull's and Scunthorpe's of the world when De Jong is rested.

Talksport says the deal is close. Shows how accurate they are.

If he does come I can see mancini starting him ahead of nigel which would be pretty awful.

could they not be played together? We played him and Vinny there to shore up the defensive side of play last year. Could maybe open up Barry for LB?

In fact, what a load of bullshit I'm talking. Still, options aren't bad. Definitely not a shoe-in if he is got though.

Oooohh where do I stand now on us getting him? I think* Mancio will only leave Nige out if Vieira performs better though

*hopes

He would only be a temporary measure, surely. If we take him on loan, 'twould be ok as they still have to pay part of his wages , but if we bought him we would have to sell him again later and no one would want him.

Do you think? I reckon we'd pay the full lot.

I'm sort of meh about it. Haven't seen much of him in Italy. Experienced enough, maybe he'd do a great job for us. I'll not lose any sleep over this one though.

Bad choice: he's too old to help us. I saw him all the times he played this year and he just sucked: no run, no tackle, bad passing. You can ask everybody follows Serie A, he'll answer you this.

Vieira Italian salary is 5,8 mln EURO NET, that is 11 mln Euro before taxes.

So I'm sorry for the misunderstanding.

NET salary is about 500.000 Euro /month -> 450.000 Gbp -> 112.500 Gbp / week

However the deal should be done.

But we need Patrick until Sunday 'cause some midfielders are unavailable for the next 2 matches.

Maybe he's going to be announced next Monday.

A DM, just what we need. We are crying out for an AM though.
