still not convinced by this, the only reason i can think of is that mancini wants a leader in the dressing room

As others I am unsure on this move, however its only an initial loan and if he is not up to speed in a game or so will Mancini risk playing him more?

What's to worry about? We really have nothing to lose in this deal. At all.

perhaps a complimentary Kleenex should be placed upon each seat at Eastlands this year?

Seeing as we got torn a new one for signing Vieira, a player who was still playing in the Inter Milan first team, I trust that the entire world will be pointing and laughing at Arsenal for signing Campbell, a player who couldn't even hack it at Notts County.

Dude, spelling, sort it.

Gooner mate of mine abused me by text calling City 'thieving c^nts'....er, how? He played for Inter, open season I'm afraid sunshine.

Bit harsh, didn't he leave after a couple of games after he had a realised he made a mistake. He is now back in the Arsenal setup, seems like a good decision. Sol Campbell is a great player and has had a good career for club and country. Not a bad move from Arsenal imo

Not saying it's a bad decision, but putting it in to perspective. Never mind.

No. He went somewhere purely for the money. He then realised League Two is sh*t and ran away. I'd say 'he couldn't hack it' is pretty accurate - he was getting paid sh*tloads.

He went to Notts County, realised he couldn't take being there, and left. Pretty textbook definition of not hacking it if you ask me.

Ok. Didnt really know what happened there, seemed a strange one. I watched his last game for Notts at Morecambe. He was terrible it must be said

Sol actually left Notts County because he realised what a massive shambles the whole ownership thing is and in the process proved himself to be cleverer than Sven. I believe part of their contracts were tied up in shares in a company that doesn't exist or something similar, their ownership situation is pretty shady.

Captains need to be players who are guaranteed to be in the team when they're fit, I wouldn't say that of Vieira.

i prefer the 'sol campbell is a big girl' theory

he took one look at some of the thugs that play at that level and decided he didn't want to spoil any future tv work by getting a good snotting by some journey man's elbow.

Bit strange for wenger to sign someone who is actually out of puberty anyhoo
