Post subject:  Is anyone else sick of Robinho - Barca rumours?

Im so sick of reading articles every day on how excited Robinho is by the prospect of going to Barca and how his Dad thinks it would be great. Seriously If Robinho doesnt want to be here then he should leave. Im really not that fond of him at city and I find it disrespectful to the fans that he is excited by getting out of here. So if he really does want to go, I say good riddance to bad rubbish.

So you don't mind if he publicly says that he would rather be somewhere else?
I hate how players shop themselves round and if he really doesnt want to be here its only going to have a negative affect.

Hi MrsWeaverToBe.

Hi MrsWeaverToBe.

And how many times has he said that he wants to be at City for at least the duration of his five year contract?

If he wants to go, then that'll be that. But i have every faith when Hughes says he'll not be sold in January.

Look at the interviews, he is only answering questions. How many players in the world would not state that they would love to play for Barca? It's nuisance journalism.

Don't believe it all.

Seriously, why make this comment ? It just makes you look retarded, maybe the most technically gifted footballer this club has seen in a long time. Let the papers talk

Thread abusing? I havent abused anyone... Just stated my opinion...
Thats true Squidge, and hey honestly id love it if he stayed. Im just bored of reading every day new articles about him and barca. All im saying is that if he doesnt want to be here then we shouldnt try to hold on to him. But I agree that most of it probably is nuisance journalism, im just sick of it.

LKBlue I say that because it would have a negative affect if he didnt want to be there.. not because I think hes a bad player....

Aren't we all? But this kind of reporting sticks to certain players. As long as we have Robi, there will be reports about him. Some will be true, some will be false.

Only time will tell how much truth is in this one.

And where exactly has he said this?

Not a great start Fitzy.

But I can see why it would be harmful to dressing room morale if he was saying these things. But he hasn't said any of the things your claiming he has and it is actually all just paper bollocks. So therefore this thread is pointless

haha yeh its not the best start! I didn't think people would take this like a personal attack.

http://www.goal.com/en/news/12/spain/2009/10/26/1584328/manchester-city-striker-robinho-flattered-by-barcelona

In this article he says:
"I'm very happy for the interest that Barcelona have shown in me because, well, playing in the Nou Camp is much easier to be the best player in the world than to do so at City," he remarked.

and just other articles talking about his lack of commitment. Reading stuff like that doesnt make it seem like he wants to be here, but like people have said it could all just be nuisance journalism.

Btw everyone im not trying to start an argument here, just stating an opinion.. Pretty much im just asking if everyone else is sick of reading this stuff too. Ive never questioned robinhos ability and I hope he truly is committed to city...
