Well Barca play him at RW or LW and he does barely anything there. Which could be down to him being a CF.

He plays ok against the lesser teams, but does sod all against the decent teams.

There's a few people mentioning he was looking at the Osasuna right back he's only 20. César Azpilicueta.

Bobby Robson once said that it is best to play a striker on the wing until he is strong enough to hold his own against defenders. And I think he will. He got 900 odd goals at youth level.

Bit old now though isnt he? Can he play MF? We have a glut of strikers, though we will need someone to replace bojy now that he wants to stay in Italy

Don't think we really thought Bojinov was going to come back, just loaned him out incase he had an amazing season and we wanted him back. We still have a good amount of strikers without him. We're not Liverpool, that's for certain.

Santa gave the ball away far too much in the first 20 minutes.

Given has saved us a few times already. Things need to change for the second half.

*wonders if he is alone in thinking that the team is currently missing Robinho a bit*

If he'd been playing tonight Bridge would have been destroyed without somebody tracking back.

At least Zaba can cross, sometimes. But tbh both our full backs are wasters that do fook all.

I'd rather have Lescott at LB and have Kolo and Vince at CB. We'd be a lot more solid then.

When we signed Bridge was it Lampard or terry said something along the lines of he was the best crosser of a ball at Chelsea?

Just not get back into position very fast, and when he does, find he is occupying the wrong position. Zabs = Richards imho.

Manchester City manager Mark Hughes is keen to sign Osasuna's £10m-rated right-back Cesar Azpilicueta.

Osasuna have warned Manchester City off moves for Cesar Azpilicueta and Nacho Monreal.

Reports in Spain have suggested cash-rich City are lining up a double swoop for the Osasuna duo after Mark Hughes was spotted watching the pair in action for Osasuna against Barcelona at the weekend.

Hughes is thought to be keen to bolster his defensive options with new full-backs believed to be his top priority.

Right-back Azpilicueta is one of the most sought-after defenders in Europe with the likes of Arsenal, Valencia, Juventus, Fiorentina and Palermo all credited with an interest in the 20-year-old.

Monreal is also attracting interest from a host of sides and he has broken into the Spain squad this season.

Osasuna are keen to keep the pair and club president Patxi Izco insists they would only consider selling the duo if someone meets their buy-out clauses.

"There is nothing to discuss or negotiate," Izco told Diario de Noticias de Navarra.

"We rely on both players and they can leave the club in January only if will come some club who pay their clauses."

Azpilicueta is understood have a release clause of 15m euros (£13.5m) while in the case of Monreal it is of 12m euros (£10.8m).

£10.8m?? Meh

£13.5m?? Meh

£10.8m + 13.5m = £24.3m = MEH!!
