MCFC have said on the record that the Bentley deal is not happening and that the summer dealings are done.

perhaps a complimentary Kleenex should be placed upon each seat at Eastlands this year?

Hughes is picking sides that will get results and not sides necesarrily to please Mr.Fan....this game needed a direct approach, a more direct approach was given and a result made....No amount of step overs and fancy flicks would have worked hence, the benching of robinho and the abscence of robinho, petrov and weiss coming on as sub. Hughes got his tactics right, lets see what he does against Arsenal...

I'm delighted with the win, I was only saying I think it was overly negative to bench Robbie. Pompey were an average team who have had their very few half decent players they have ripped out of them. I literally hadn't heard of half of them. I know we've struggled there in the past, but they've deteriorated in the past 12 months almost as much as we've improved.

Yes we got the win, but as Labmonkey pointed out, but for a chronic finish from Nugent it could've been a draw. We had more chances than them, but I believe with Robbie, Tevez and Ade up front we would've been out of sight by half time. I'm chuffed to bits with how things are going, I just really rate Robbie. And he's in my dream team

having said that about blackburn under hughes being a player kicking team,

That's not entirely true. They were dirty fuckers in the middle of the park - Dunn, Savage (and Tugay at times), but Bentley and Pedersen on the wings, and Santa Cruz and Mcarthy up front played good football.

TBH went for free? They've just got an injection of cash and are desperate to sign someone before the deadline. You'd think we could've got a couple of million out of them.
