we paid the price of having a good squad but a terrible coach
now with fran rijkaard this year everything is different.
but nevertheless galatasaray needs a spot in the CL instead of Europe LEague

We've drawn a nice group yesterday. Panathinaikos, Dinamo Bucuresti and Sturm Graz. We should get through this group easily. Though December in Austria, climate conditions are pretty awful. But anyway it's nice to play a greeks-turks derby. it is always fun to crash them

Hum, you aren't trying to be sarcastic, are you?

It is not always easy to detect sarcasm on the internet so I am just wondering.

He's just trying to wind you up, ignore him. The Turkish league is obviously better than the Scottish.

Not sure one goal would make much difference, but I see your point. I still think he would have been out this summer. We'd still have signed the same players and he would still have been way down the pecking order.

players come to scotland at the start of their careers.

players go to turkey at the end of their careers.

bar two or three teams it's shite.

similarity to scotland is astounding.

Just for the record, this is how the top 6 finished in Turkey last season.

Besiktas - 71
Sivasspor - 66
Trabzonspor - 65
Fenerbahce - 61
Galatasaray - 61
Bursaspor - 58

So to say the turkish league is just Fenerbahce, Besiktas & Galatasaray... is wrong based on last season.

This is how the SPL finished:

Rangers - 86
Celtic - 82
Heart of Midlothian - 59
Aberdeen - 53
Dundee United - 53
Hibernian - 47

SPL = SHIT

gibbo just tell me how spl is better than turkish league?

:D

The SPL is mostly made up of Scottish players. The Turkish League is mostly made up Turkish players.

So what you're arguing here is the standard of the imports. Turkey attracts better players, that's a fact. Had Elano signed for (08/09 league table equivalent) Dundee United instead of a Galatasaray team coached by Frank Rijkaard... It would have been quite a surprise I'd say.

Yeah, more money. That's a pretty clear indication it's a better league.

He just scored two goals in the Europa League.

I don't think any of you care though. I only care myself because I want everyone in the Brazilian squad in top form for the WC!

Ps: Hey Hogey, is it that you are going to work with? This site's match reports, or what?

Here's a link to the goals http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_JhyrJ6uItc - first one is a HORENDOUS defensive fuck up and the second a massive deflection (1.52m). I feel better having watched it.
