I have the impression Barcelona wants to move Toure to the CB spot when needed and then they want to have a good backup for him at the DM spot, as I don't think they trust his current reserve. Why else would they want Mascherano first and now Kompany(if it isn't bullshit)?
Toure really impressed last year in the CB spot when he was needed there.
