It's not what Leeds said. They said that Villa were first in with a bid which they agreed on and Leeds wanted to honour that agreement. Though they are probably lying, yorkshire bastards that they are.

That's what the manager, Grayson, said.

But i think Bates has said the above, that City had a bid accepted but then wanted a week to consider it. Seems weird.

In his Leeds programme notes, Ken Bates stated that a £10m bid was accepted and that City were formally advised of that fact.

He went on to say that City acknowledged and thanked Leeds for accepting the bid but was surprised that City then stated that they wanted to 'think about it for another 7 days'. Not exactly professional business etiquette is it? Not a good message to send to other club managements.

The management of our club have not denied this.

Now we hear that the club didn't advise the LoW management of Bellamy's reason for a no-show at the airport.
