THE ORIGINAL GOSSIP COLUMN..LATEST NEWS..THE BIGGEST MOVES..EVERY SINGLE DAY

Manchester City boss Mark Hughes is ready to snap up Leeds United teenage midfield sensation Fabian Delph in a stunning £10million deal.

City made their move yesterday after watching Delph in preseason games - and they will outbid Tottenham and Aston Villa to land him in the next few days.

League One Leeds would ideally like to keep the 19-year-old on loan for the season and that may even be an option, although the Blues would prefer to get him into their squad straight away.

only faily mirror but he's good player

has played really well last year and was one of the best players of the season in hisleague,

i like the idea of this - he won't be precious cos he'd have had the shit kicked out of him in that league, and will be prepared to work hard

All I know is that every time he is mentioned, his name is prefixed with "highly rated youngster"

As my wife follows Leeds (and I keep an eye on them) I have seen him a bit. He is a class above the division he is in, but £10M. Ken Bates must be p*ing himself with laughter.

I do wonder why we need him though, especially if he is only getting League 1 experience next season soi he will not be ready to step into the Premiership the season afterwards.

A single dip would be pretty unpleasant. Either way...

He's been talked about for over a season now so he's obviously pretty special.
Out on loan this year, play Carling Cup etc for us next year when we are back in Europe.
Sounds good to me.

perhaps a complimentary Kleenex should be placed upon each seat at Eastlands this year?

He's a good player will certainly make it in the prem just not sure how much of an impact, it reminds me of the whole Walcott saga a few seasons back and Arsenal took the gamble

Well Darlo play Leeds on 10th of August. If City do sign him, I'll do you all a scout report.

He'd improve more training every day with the City squad than playing with Leeds.
