Bert, the "Citizens" nickname is a weird one. I remember as a kid the card/sticker shit kids would collect had us down as that but noone I've ever met has ever used it?

I know . My Dad never used it or knew anyone else who did. Much more common in my youth were "Sky blues" or just "Blues".
"Citizens" was used in the papers sometimes and as you say on collectables etc, but never by fans.

Rarely hear it used except in newspaper in a match report. when I do read it I always think 'oh yeah, we're the Citizens aren't we.'.
