if he does go, hope he does well, he was a trier and after that goal he'll always be welcome back at city

Benjani was a desperation buy because we couldn't get anyone else. Sven seemed to have no consistent philosophy for signing players. It worked a couple of times, but really backfired more than once.

Benjani has always been poor for us.

Had 1 brilliant season for Pompey. Career over.

I wouldn't even say he had a particularly brilliant season for Pompey. He led the scoring charts early on but that was mainly down to Reading defending like a pub team one game and letting him score 5. I was always uneasy with the signing, especially as he never really seemed like he wanted to join us.
