A few months ago this wouldv'e seemed impossible... I mean, Nemanja Vidic jumping ship to join rivals city!

We'll believe it! There is a great chance that at the start of season 09/10, Nemanja Vidic can be running onto the pitch wearing the sky blue!

How? you are all thinking...
We'll, Hughes and the board are planning a $30 million bid for the Serbian in an attempt to lure him from old trafford. Hang on, Ferguson wouldn't sell his top defender to his rivals... we'll think again!...

From various sources, It is to my understanding that Vidic has had a dispute with the "red devils" and is on the outer at United. He wanted to leave this season and go to either Barca or Madrid, however, Ferguson persuaded him to stay one more season (like Ronaldo)! His falling out with the club was spurred on by the tevez saga.

Believe it now? It might just be all speculation and rumours, but is there a chance this can happen? What do you think? Following the failed signing of England Captain John Terry, will Vidic be the next supestar under the Eastlands spotlight? Only time will tell...

Yeah, probably...

But Adebayour and Tevez weren't happening either.
I'm not saying he will sign, but anything is possible these days

Not going to happen.

However, I think it would be hilarious if it did, Fergiscum would pop. :D

Still, it's not happening.

Considering your linking of an old Times article on the Toure thread, I don't trust your sources.

Surely he'd get sent off for that.

He is one of the best central defenders in the world at the moment.. next best to Terry

I would kill for him to pull on the city jersey! If we sign him, top 4 for sure..

what a back 4...

Richards Lescott Vidic Toure

he doesn't look so sharp when he comes up against decent attackers, example torres, eto'o, messi. maybe these are world class attackers, but we are looking for the best - we want to be the best. to be the best you must buy the best :D

If any of your posts thus far were in any way credible (IMO they aren't) then this would be the nail in your coffin. No way would these four line up in this formation

Well what you actually said was:
"Toure has agreed personal fees and it looks like it is a done deal!"

Then you linked an article that said:
"City expect to sign Toure, Joleon Lescott and John Terry by the end of August for combined fees of around £100m."

But, never mind, we can talk about Vidic.
Where did you hear that he was wanting to leave OT?

Vidic is the biggest thug in the Premiership to date. We do not “pay” referees enough compliments to have him in our team, he would spend more time on the bench than on the pitch!

They'd be more likely to line up like this:

Richards Lescott ----- Toure.

With a big hole because Vidic will be at the swamp.

Touré isn't going to play at left back is he? Bridge is going to shine this season IMO. Lescott won't play there, as I'm sure he would seek assurances if he were to sign, that he would not play there
