Wasn't getting a very positive vibe from Hughes on Dunnie there... I reckon this could be the end for El Monstre (although I have thought this before).

Who's the next longest servig player out of interest? One of the academy grads - Ireland or Richards?

Maybe Ireland i think. Also great to think that the spending may not be over yet.

I'm guessing SWP will be up there in terms of number of games played.

The evening news this morning was saying the delay in the deal was caused by Lescott's agent(s). Some wrangle over their fees apparently. Should have guessed really.

Why should he need more than 1 agent?

Don't know, but it definitely says "agents". The article isn't on the website, but in this mornings first edition of the paper they are still leading with the story "Lescott Hitch". "Joleon Lescott's city debut may be delayed with the club stuck in a wrangle over agents' fees for his £24million deal". "After the fee was agreed with everton, personal terms were sorted out with Lescott and the player passed his medical, the deal ran into an obsticle on monday. Both city and Lescott's representatives are staying tight lipped on the matter, but MEN understands the problem lies with payment of fees to the agents who have helped to carry out the move". Then it goes on to say something similar happened in the Rooney deal from everton as well.

Lescott's selling agent, City's buying agent.
