Maybe not the price but I suspect the Spuds would have had a lot more competition for his signature if they'd left it until after the Euro's.

yeah true. im still unsure as too whether he will be a success here. he looks tiny. as is santos. i expect the odd sublime performance from spurs mixed into a mediocre season.

He is small be remarkably strong, bit like SWP in that respect. Don't forget he was playing against some fairly handy players in the Euro's and still looked class.
