So hopefully that's one down... a few more to go.

Santa Cruz wants Betis stay

Quote:
Manchester City striker Roque Santa Cruz is hopeful that his loan move to Real Betis can be made permanent.

Santa Cruz, 30, made a £17.5 million move from Blackburn to City in 2009, but his opportunities have been restricted since Roberto Mancini replaced Mark Hughes.

He joined Betis last summer on a season-long loan and, having scored six goals in La Liga, he has confirmed that he would like to remain at the club.

"I have spoken with the club [Betis] and everything is clear," he told Punto Radio. "On the economic issue we have talked and would be happy with a deal, but the key opinion is that of Manchester City, and clubs in England will not talk until the end of the season.

"City will decide my future and that is the main question."

Santz Cruz remains under contract with City until 2013.

A long way to go! I think we should let Johnson go unless he is on cheap wages. Better for the national squad as well.

Even if there is a buy back in the deal.

I think there is a loan fee or something like that. Regardless, it's a year-long loan and by then his contract will be over.

Scored with his first touch to send Malaga through to the quater finals of the CL tonight.

Isco also scored and ran the show again apparently. Going to be a lot of clubs after him in the summer, I hope we're one of them.
