It's about time we had somebody up front who can head a ball.

We were pretty damn awful from corners last year, he'll help a huge amount there, together with Barry who is also 6'
Just what we need imo

perhaps a complimentary Kleenex should be placed upon each seat at Eastlands this year?

Cook looks like he's doing a "Joey".

concerning the number of strikers at the club

Sturridge/Vass - definately off
Jo - meh, on loan or off load to fulham
Benjani - prolly if we can find a buyer
Boj/Bellers - i say keep
RSC
Tevez

hughes will be looking at 4/5 strikers - and, no, I haven't forgotten Eto'o - not convinced we will get him at all

so we got - RSC, Tevez, Boj, Bellamy, Robinho (although he will prolly start LM)

I agree. We have been pretty poor at corners / set pieces for a while now. RSC's arrival can only be a good thing. We should all be over the moon to be building a squad with quality players competing for a place in the team, rather than wondering where a goal is gonna come from - as in previous seasons. We'd have given anything to be in this position a few years ago.

Manchester City's newest signing Roque Santa Cruz hopes Carlos Tevez joins him at Eastlands this summer.

The Paraguay international striker sealed his move to City on Monday from Blackburn for a fee believed to be in the region of £18million.

No sooner had the 27-year-old marksman put pen-to-paper on a four-year contract had he urged ex-Manchester United ace Tevez to follow suit.

Tevez is set to leave Corinthians permanently this summer following the conclusion of his two-year loan deal with the Premier League champions.

The former West Ham striker has been linked with a move to City and Santa Cruz believes he would be an ideal signing for the club.

"If Tevez comes too he would be a very good signing," Santa Cruz told radio 970 AM.

"I hope that Tevez could join Manchester City. I heard that there have been conversations about that happening. He would be a really good signing."

Meanwhile, Santa Cruz is on the mend following a knee injury and he believes he will be fit and raring to go for when City's pre-season work starts on 4th July.

"I am going to keep on working hard recovering from my knee injury and I think that I will be ready to start pre-season work together with all the team," he continued.

"It's very nice to join a team like this one after going through so many problems."

Rumors mention transfer fee about 50 mills for Tevez, which is simply unacceptable and crazy. I wouldn't pay for him more than 20, especially when we have already 6 strikers ;)

I hate the fact that I've got a nagging doubt that RSC is getting on a bit and he's younger than me...

Actually, as long as I remember, that was the fee that United had to pay for signing Tevez after their two years loan. While for the others the law of the market apply!

I've heard anything from 25million to 32million. I doubt we'd pay more than 32
