well it looks like the relationship between him and barca is fooked. we may just end up getting him in a much more favourable deal now.

Barca have been on the blower trying to get us to resurrect our interested in him apparently. I'm still up for getting him. Unless RSC's injury days are completely behind him, we're gonna find ourselves short of an out and out striker on occasions next season...

Barcelona haven't really done much wrong. They're trying to get rid of Eto'o but it's basically just Eto'o's (that looks so wrong) camp where all the issues are coming from.

If you were to ask what the Eto'o family's problem was with something, would you say 'what's the Eto'o's's problem'?

No you wouldn't. You don't use apostrophes to pluralise. And when talking about something belonging to a plural, you just use an apostrophe (I think).

It would be 'the Eto'os' problem'.

:p

Eto'o's problem methinks. the apostrophe only goes at the end if the name ends in an s.

Well the plural of Eto'o is Eto'os, not Eto'o's. Therefore something belonging to the Eto'os would either be the Eto'os' or the Eto'os's. I thought the apostrophe was without an s for plurals, but with an s for when a singular ends in an s (such as Jesus's disciples).

I may be wrong.

EDIT: Where did Emigre's post go?

Yeah, I deleted that post because I hadn't read yours properly and thought you were only talking about Eto'o singular.

Actually I disagree, Laporta (Barca President) made a meal over this and I think that the issue is that he wanted to boot him out the Backdoor like goofy last summer and Eto'o turned round and said fook you Laporta, pay me what Im due or ill fook you.

Its the way he went about getting rid of him that Pissed Eto'o off and why they are not even talking, city jut got fed up of waiting.

Potentially they could turn round and sort the differences, and maybe city could be still interested, although I feel the rags or Chelsea are more likely to sign him now.

I hope we go in and offer Aguero and Villa silly money now though :approve:

It seems he is going to Inter + 40 millions of euros for Ibra.

It seems a bit too expensive?

Anbody here watch Serie A? Not an accusation, just a question, I'd like to know the opinion of someone who watchs Inter a lot in Serie A, like me.

My opinion? He is class. Inter didn't have a good playmaker for most of the season(Mancini got too much small injuries and his performances weren't the best while Figo was just too old, the ohers weren't very good either) and yet he did manage to end as the top striker in Serie A scoring beautiful goals. He is a more complete player than Eto'o, but Eto'o is a better 'true' striker. Ibra is a rich man's Berbatov, very similar styles but he is simply better.

I think he can do very well on Barcelona. I don't think he is worth that much but so weren't C. Ronaldo or Kaká.

This. I love this term. It helps me get out of conflict with gloryhunting friends.
Ragandchavfriend "who's better, drogba or rooney?"
HM" well, rooney's a more complete player, but drogba's a better striker"
