Let's just get him. To me he is the best defender in the world. Kompany and him and back-up Onuoha and Dunne. Seems massive to me

I think Onuoha is a better CB than Kompany from what ive seen tbh. prob the only defender that is safe at the moment.

He's ok. I seem to remember him fucking up against us in the first few minutes and giving us the lead at CoMS. Was one of his first games for Arsenal. I choose to remember him this way. Best in the world? Not even in the top 10 but still a good squad player for us.

He's good enough to start in our defense I would say, but that in no way makes him one of the best in the world

I highly doubt we'll sign him anyway

He gives us options and we could definitely use defensive options. I'd rather go out and buy a truly world class defender and I'm certainly not convinced that Toure is this.

No me neither, I'm not sure where we'd start to find a world class defender though.

Vidic, as already mentioned, though shows that they exist in leagues all across the world and it's just about finding them I spose

Reading this thread and someone else from Arsenal popped into my head, That Bacary Sagna is a good player Think he's a RB though.

Dunno if he'd come though. I'm guessing that if we went for him, all of Italy's top clubs would try and get him too.

I'd definitely have Toure. He's not world class, but he's still better than anything we have by quite a way.

Chiellini is the defender of my dreams*.

$40M at least would be needed to get him, but then we have a defensive leader for the next 10+ years. $4M a year .. Worth it easily.
