Ned better not be sold, that's all I'm saying.

I think this, but I'm sure he won't be.

Hughes isn't sentimental, I doubt he would keep Dunne and sell Nedum

I do think we'll get Lescott though. It's just a matter of when

Even though he's a Rag, I'd like Vidic.

Would never happen though.

I'd rather we go for someone other than lescott, I think he's good but not outstanding

but it's the english appeal i think.

we don't want to be the new chelsea, signing foreigners left, right and centre, so we will pay over the odds for somebody closer to home.

facts of the matter are that foreigners often represent better value for money.

I like davies at villa, think he's a class act. I suppose prem experience is important because it's a crucial position, Chelsea squandered money at times, bhoularouz is a classic case

And there's this Brazillian bloke. I think his name is Glauber Berti.

Just signed a new contract. The rest would be a gamble based on them adapting to the league.

It does sadden me that we're not signing many shot-in-the-dark-"who???"-type players, with a bit of uncertainy to them. As good as this transfer window is, there's not been that much shock?

Not like last year for example, or the summer before. But then Sven's signing's haven't proved too clever I spose

Hughes should go to Germany and pick some up from there, because he is pretty damn good at getting them from there (De Jong, Kompany, Samba, RSC, Glauber....)

Wouldn't mind Chivu. Think we should go for him next.

Where have you heard that Dunne has been confirmed as captain? I haven't seen it anywhere and couldn't find it on the OS

I think it was mentioned during the commentary on Saturday. But I've not read it anywhere. I think Dunne and Kompany could be good enough at the back.
