New Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez has vowed to let his goals do the talking following his controversial switch from Manchester United.

The Argentinean secured a £25million move to Eastlands this summer after spending two years on loan at Old Trafford.

United boss Sir Alex Ferguson and chief executive David Gill claimed afterwards that Tevez's move was all about money, but the striker disagrees.

Instead, he sees the City revolution as a 'big project' and he cannot wait to give his all to the cause, especially in the Manchester derbies.

Not bothered
Tevez said in the Daily Mirror: "I am not bothered about Alex Ferguson. This is in the past and Manchester City is in the present.

"Ferguson is pre-occupied with me and always talking about the money aspect. But that was not my motive for this move, and I will prove myself with goals.

"I respect United fans because they supported me from day one and I think they will understand my decision.

"The Manchester derby will be special to me. I want to give everything and show something special to the City fans.

Big challenges
"I have had big challenges throughout my life and now I am ready for another. City is a big project but I am excited.

"We have the best attack in Europe - Robinho, (Roque) Santa Cruz, (Emmanuel) Adebayor, (Shaun) Wright-Phillips. It is very strong.

"I am convinced City will reach the top level in Europe in just one year because it is a strong, ambitious club."

I'm starting to like Tevez even more now. C'mon lad!!
