Was anyone else impressed by this guy at Euro 2008? He apparently replaced whatsisface in central midfield at Lyon, and by all accounts he's been brilliant. I know it's not hard to shine in that French team, but he looked to be exactly the sort of player we could do with to take over Hamann's role.

I love his name!!!!!! In fact I was only saying to Burnage and TiD the other night how I want to marry him I quite fancy being a Mrs Toulalan. Should I walk up the aisle with my other half I will be Mrs Hughes, how boring is that??? But still better than my current sirname!

I'd have to say, I couldn't be any less impressed. Not one of the best holding midfielders in Europe IMHO.

He wasn't the best in the Euro Cup, but I heard he is young. not a bad idea to get him.
