I think his time at Spurs shows that Bentley needs to be playing regularly to be any good, and I don't think he'll get that here.

I'd have had Bentley before Ramos broke him.He was great under Mark at Blackburn.I'd probably have him as cover for the RW.

LMAO!!! seen this from here http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/football/multiplex/30940.html.

The message board spotters, who apparently have more than two eyes, each one positioned in a different European country, have sighted Samuel Eto'o getting on a plane heading for Manchester. His final destination - Eastlands or Old Trafford - remains unclear. What do you think?

Haha this one made me laugh too
The Liverpool debate continues with a rather good-natured RAYMOND P suggesting how to give Liverpool a helping hand: "Manchester City will help them out. We'll give 43¬ million for Gerrard and Alonso." If only everyone was as nice

Gerrard and Torres, and I might just say yes.

About the Tevez saga...

Quote:
UNITED are fighting to keep Cristiano Ronaldo and Carlos Tevez out of the clutches of their deadliest rivals.

Real Madrid's new president Florentino Perez is again targeting Ronaldo as well as Kaka - potential world record-breaking transfers aimed at bringing the glory days back to the Bernabeu.

The Spanish aristocrats are also monitoring the Tevez wrangle, although of more immediate concern to United is the prospect of the Argentinian star joining mega-bucks City, who are first in the queue ready with a near £100,000-a-week wage offer if talks at Old Trafford break down.

City see the acquisition of Tevez as a statement of intent following the £12m capture of Gareth Barry from Aston Villa on Tuesday.

United's top brass met Tevez's representative Kia Joorabchian for two hours earlier this week and, although no details have been made public, it is understood a compromise deal has been thrashed out after the champions stuck to their guns, refusing to shell out £26m to to make his stay permanent.

Joorabchian and United chief executive David Gill agreed to delay a decision until next week after Tevez has played for his country in World Cup matches against Colombia and Ecuador and had time to discuss his future in detail.

I'm not sure what to think now. I did think we were odds on to get him but... I'm not so sure now.

I'd love him to sign, but I'd rather have Eto'o for 20mil.

NEW CITY ETO'O BID

By Simon Mullock 7/06/2009

Manchester City have been given the go-ahead to open talks with Samuel Eto'o about a £30m move.

Inter Milan have rejected the chance to take the Cameroon striker to the San Siro in exchange for Zlatan Ibrahimovic and £23m.

Inter president Massimo Morratti went to Catalonia to speak with his Barcelona counterpart Joan Laporte about the deal, but Inter decided against the offer.

That has opened the door for City to make their move.

The Blues had an opening £20m bid rejected by Barca as the European champions set their sights on using Eto'o as a makeweight to land Ibrahimovic.

The Italians want a straight cash arrangement for Ibrahimovic - and value the Swedish international at £75m.

you never know, everything is possible. I wouldn't mind us signing Eto'o anyways.

It seems like we've all given up on Tevez now, which I think is probably wise. I think, as sad as it is, he will remain a ragscum for the forseeable future.
