Milan: Blues offer tough to match

18/ 6/2008

AC Milan cannot compete with City's wage offer to Brazilian star Ronaldinho, according to Rossoneri chief Adriano Galliani.

The Blues, Milan, Chelsea and LA Galaxy have all been linked with the 28-year-old, who has been told he is surplus to requirements at Barcelona.

"For now Italian football is ranked fourth in Europe behind England, Spain and Germany," vice-president Galliani told the Gazzetta dello Sport.

"Unfortunately we can't compete with the wages they offer.

"It is the way our football is going unless we change things.

"We'd like to offer Ronaldinho from Barcelona a chance of playing for us.

"Manchester City, though, have offered the Brazilian 12million euros (£9.5million) a year. How can we compete?

"Well, only if they give him to us for free!"

No, it's because Ronaldinho's brother/agent will have told them. My guess is it went something like this "That other club in manchester that is not united, I forget their name but you know the one, well they've offered X amount, can you beat it?"

I told Mrs Emigre. She's crying now. You made my wife cry with your racist outburst. I'm getting a plane and my suitcase is full of whoop-ass.
