On his performance last we really should be making a firm move to land Arshavin.

This made me laugh. I used a translator and put in, 'He is a great man. We should sign him now.'

When I fed the Russian translation that they gave me back in I got this....

'It there wakes by large person. We must it signed it now.'

Translators eh?

*tuts*

The next time you feed the english to russian and swap you get 'It there spills the large persona. We it signed it now.' That's it. After that it translates it the same each time.

Small minds, eh? I has one apparently.

Well if it's true that we're paying Dunne 56k then we should offer Arshavin that. Add premier league footie to the deal and he might be up for it. After all, as rich as the Russian leagues are, the weather is worse than here and the crowds aren't exactly huge.

saw a couple of russian league games whilst i was there at beginning of may... basically the standard is a bit shite, looked like first division footy. can't pass, shape and cohesion of the formations was awful... so at a guess i'd say it's like scottish footie - couple of good sides that can compete at any level and dominate the league, a few more that can put up a bit of a fight domestically and then the rest are far far away in terms of quality.

i dont think he is worth a big contract and he is the same age as ronaldinho so not like we'd be investing in the future. has a nice touch and good vision. but not the complete player you'd want to spend big on.
