Would you have him at our club for the right price? 31 in August though.

Newcastle, Manchester City and Arsenal are all trying to get Thierry Henry to come back to England. Strangely, I can actually see City and Newcastle sniffing around and hoping for a bit of luck, but there’s no chance that Arsenal are going to welcome Henry back after all the ‘we’re better without him’ stuff the players and coach were spouting all season.

Henry has had a less than amazing season at Barcelona, but after spending so long playing in such a specific way for Wenger he probably needs a good period to settle in. If he stays at Barca, expect much better things from him.

But should he decide that he wants to come back to England, and he won’t, we can’t see someone of his ego dropping down to sign for a team outside the Champions League.

So while “Henry to (teamwithmoney)” rumours won’t go away this summer, does anyone think there’s a real chance of it happening?

As with Ronaldinho he would screw up our wage structure, which in my opinion is very important in this rebuilding phase the club is going through. Lets not be West ham and offer huge salaries to everyone coming in.

I'm not holding my breath for anything at the moment, Sven has the right idea in buy youngsters and building a team, i couldn't care less for a former star on the way down who would ruin the pay structure of the club whilst maybe not even adding much more as age takes its toll; loss of speed, more likely to get injured etc.

And sure 800 mill is a lot, but honestly i dont think its reasonable to think Thaskin will be able to give us 50-100 mill to spend in one go, as the papers say, in what is a very risky business.
