Verging on crass. There was some opta stats thing the other day which took into account age and all the stats from each game of the past couple of seasons and found that Stering was the most valuable young player in Europe.

The fact that, given the choice, Liverpool would rather have him than £50m should count for something. Now the FFP stuff has been lifted I can't see what objections City fans could have in our owner shelling out loads of money for someone with the genuine ability to improve our team. With the new season less than a month away too - we've just been turned down by Fabian Delph FFS.

Sterling will be fucking brilliant for us.

There, I've said it. £49m is a completely meaningless number anyway. Who gives a fuck what he costs?

Hopefully be the first of another three or four top class player coming in, although I'm not massively confident on that front.

Did alright, quite well actually towards the end of the season when played in a 3 behind Yaya and Fernandinho. Was absolute dogshit in a midfield 2.

He's no NDJ.

Nige :(

This.

Now that he's playing in a proper team he needs to show how good he really is .. and fuck the dippers off in the process.

I'm not reading that, I don't have to. Laughable is right. Do they mention that he'll still cost about £10m less than Di Maria at all?

I agree with that comment.

Need to see a huge improvement from him this season.

It is a lot for Sterling but the potential is certainly there and he is one of the few available home grown players who would improve us, as mentioned I am looking forward to see how he links up David and Sergio. After all the bile and the fact that he is now shit according to the dippers I had a quick look at his stats: directly involved in 14 out of the 52 goals the dippers scored in the prem last season (27%). Second top scorer after Stevie Starfish, who I think takes the penas. Better in every department other than tackles won (30 vs 49) compared to player of the year Philippe Coutinho who does have a very good game now and again.

I was watching the 2011-2012 season review the other day (my boy is a bit obsessed at the moment) and lamenting the loss of NDJ :-( I had forgotten how good Dzeko was too.

Studsy, I would have liked to see him too but I am consoling myself with the fact that Schweinsteiger is past his best and has had a bit of trouble with injuries. Its the last big pay off for him.

Stay classy Liverpool fans

Quote:
Twitter trolls who posted abusive messages directed at the daughter of England footballer Raheem Sterling are being investigated by police.

Officers are analysing the posts, sent after it was reported the Liverpool player was on the verge of a £49m transfer to Manchester City.

One user told Sterling to hug his daughter before appearing to make threats against her.

A Merseyside Police spokesman said the language used was "abhorrent".

"We are taking the incident extremely seriously and an investigation by detectives in Liverpool CID is on-going," he said.

Another user posted further references to Sterling's daughter along with racist comments.

Many of the tweets have since been deleted.

But several concerned Twitter users took screen-grabs of the posts and urged Merseyside Police to investigate.

The force spokesman added: "People who use the internet to target others and who commit criminal offences such as harassment or hate crime are not beyond the law and can expect to be brought to justice."

No less than i expect from the rat-eating murdering cunts. Sterling is a good acquisition, saw some analysis on his assists, goals, age and some other stats, and if (IF) he continues on that curve he could become a quite exceptional player, along the lines of ageuro, di maria, ronaldo and messi.

He managed just 15 starts last season. His legs are gone.
