Piece about him in the grauniad today, can't fault his reasoning tbf. Still a massive shame though.

Says he won't go on tour to Australia with them .
He should do as he is told by his employers or they should sack him.
Then we could get him for nothing which would be a fair price.

As I think the late Jimmy Savile once said or something similar.

On the bbc site today Phil Mc Nulty named the top 25 likely transfers this summer. A large number of players were interesting City he said. Now I don't think that Mc Nulty is the best source but if we are so interested in all these people why have we not bought anyone?
Khaldoon promised a stellar summer but maybe he was under the influence of the other Stella when he said it.
Pogba is as likely to come to City as I am to be signed by Utd. De Bruyne is hoping for a better offer and Sterling is talking his way out of any offer, not that I wanted him anyway.
When are we going to buy someone of repute? We are not so restricted by FFP anymore and I am sure the Sheikh would not be averse to coughing up a few bob for someone worth having.
People are getting older YaYa, zab, Demi, Vincent, Clichy, Sila even are all getting around the 30 mark. When did we last have A20 year old playing regularly?
I have tried to resist saying it but it is looking more and more like typical City.

Yep, im with you on this one mate.
we were promised these great signings, and it looks like were not getting any of them, except one we don't want.(maybe).
pretty disappointing..
Even vinny said yesterday, that we will get left behind if we don't add some great quality to the squad.
not to mention the loss of milner..

Stering would be a good signing imo, he's young, English and very good - the media have vilified him because it's seen as a heinous crime to want to leave Liverpool for some reason - don't believe it, it's just because half the pundits out there are former Liverpool players. He's good enough to play in the Champions League so why shouldn't he want to. Age doesn't come into it.

And Scoucers should stop playing the victim (as if) - they're getting £40-50m for a player they poached from QPR a couple of years ago for next to nothing.

It's not the leaving of Liverpool that bothers me. It is the fact that he is clearly not bright and easily influenced.
And he does not score that many goals or provide that many assists I think something like 7 or 8 in the last 2 seasons so his price is over inflated .

Drop the offer to £25m and then see what happens.

No way should we be paying more than £30m imo.

What worries me is that he seems to be such a poorly lad. Phones in sick again today apparently.

Idiot should have at least feigned an injury in the first training session. Then it's classed an industrial injury and doesn't go on your sick record. As you say Bert: not very bright

People who accuse him of being easily influenced as usually people who have failed to influence him.

If I was him I wouldn't want to play for Rodgers either. He's one of the most embarrassing figures in football I've ever seen.

Given their tough start to the season he may be gone by Xmas anyway.

This!

We should start decreasing the offer now.

I'm not fussed about signing him, I think he is over rated.
