First Team Coach just means manager doesn't it?

Manchester City have appointed Txiki Begiristain as director of football with Brian Marwood to become managing director of the academy. Begiristain will replace Marwood and be in charge of player recruitment and contracts. Has already begun expanding City's scouting network. Begiristain: "I'm pleased to be given such an opportunity. I look forward to working with Mancini, Marwood, and Soriano in building a team and philosophy which will serve City well in the near and long term future"

I wouldn't get excited over Txiki. He was merely a manikin for Laporta's board as he needed (as is customary) to appoint some former Barca player as his running mate and sporting director.
Some terrible transfers he did too in his time.
