Boring James Milner

I though Emyr Huws was called Emyr Hughes but when I saw his name on his shirt tonight I could see that it was actually Huws not Hughes.

Guillem Balague:Javier Hernandez is off to Real Madrid on loan, Negredo pushing for a move to Valencia which may see Falcao head to us.

I would be sad to see Neggers leave but Falcao would sweeten the pill for sure.

Something i been thinking about.

Negredo wasn't going to be in the CL squad, so if he goes and Falcao comes in who is left out?

It is a cunning plot to get Utd to pay over the odds yet again for the wrong player

Pretty much confirmed. Also Sinclair seems to be off to Stoke.

Arsène Wenger is a visionary. The inventor of broccoli, passing and spectacular, unrivalled bottle-jobbery, he has already worked out what Arsenal need to do in the next transfer window, three months before it opens. It therefore comes as no surprise to learn that Wenger has moved with trademark sharpness to identify the areas of weakness in his squad and has decided that Arsenal will try to sign a defender and a defensive midfielder in January, with Manchester United’s Chris Smalling and Real Madrid’s Sami Khedira at the top of his shopping list. That’s why he gets paid the big bucks: only an elite football genius could have come to those conclusions so quickly.

Elsewhere Brendan Rodgers has already gone off Simon ‘Safe Hands’ Mignolet and wants to replace him with Joe ‘Hart’ Hartdog, who fears that he could be for the chop at Manchester City given their reluctance to offer him a new contract. That is not very decent on their part. Poor Hartdog.

Some big Premier League clubs would like to sign some children, stick them in the reserves, forget all about them, stunt their development and then moan about a lack of available British talent. Arsenal and United are keeping tabs on Fulham’s Patrick Roberts, City and Liverpool want Real Madrid’s Jack Harper.

United want to bring top centre-back Cristiano Ronaldo back to Old Trafford. But they don’t want to come off too desperate about a reunion, having been led on by their former flame in the past. As such, they’re playing it cool, keeping their distance, sometimes pretending they can’t remember his name or what he does for a living; Ed Woodward has this one in the bag.

Mark Hughes says he is braced for bids for Peter Crouch. QPR are interested in the Stoke striker and also want Leicester’s Ritchie De Laet, which seems like a suitable place to bring yet another rip-roaring edition of The Rumour Mill to a fascinating end.

mostyly for the caption and picture tbh.

Bozhidar Kraev, the hugely talented 17-year-old Bulgarian attacking midfielder, is set to have a trial at Manchester City. The teenager, who has played only a handful of senior games for Sofia in A Group, the Bulgarian top flight, is considered one of the world’s finest young players and is interesting a host of other clubs, with Juventus also having invited him to train with them. Kraev will go to Italy next week and is then expected to travel to Manchester.

Kraev’s current contract with Sofia expires next summer. The 26-times Bulgarian champions have offered him a new three-year deal but are in need of money and would accept an offer if it met their valuation of the player.

The Levski coach and sporting director, Georgi Ivanov, said this week: “City wants him for a seven-day trial whereas Juventus offers him three days of training. And he will go. Of course, we should not take this as a granted contract, but it is a positive signal for Kraev’s progress.”

The final matches of the A Group are played this weekend. There is then a winter break until February.

Kraev is now represented by the Stellar Group, the agency whose other footballers include Gareth Bale, Luke Shaw and City’s Joe Hart.

Hristo Stoichkov, meanwhile, is one of many observers who have been impressed by Kraev’s talents. “He is best when he is dribbling at speed. But I especially appreciate his unselfishness and willingness to play for the team,” the former Bulgarian international said.

As a youngster Kraev was at Stoichkov’s Vilafranca academy in Spain before he joined the Etropole academy back in Bulgaria. Spas Dzhevizov, the director, said: “Talents like him are born once in a decade. He is a complete player already, with excellent ball control, vision and unique passing ability.”

Some young lad we've signed from Watford. I would snap every tendon in my leg up to my hip if I attempted this.
