And Bentley is a cock.

Sweeping statement that. Like us with Elano not many people had heard of him and they managed to get him pretty much under the radar for a reasonable price. I'd be more comfortable on a £15m outlay for Santa Cruz than £20m for an unproven lad from CSKA.

Hopefully they'll end up back in the FL where they belong.

Big difference between Elano and Santa Cruz. Elano was an unknown. Came from Brazil to an obscure East European league, much like Jo. Santa Cruz has/had been known to be a player with great potential for a long time. Thats why he was at a big club like Bayern. Even allowing for the fact that German football is shit, moving from Bayern to Blackburn is a massive step backwards. You should ask yourself why it happened. Being a class player is about more than just talent alone.

I'm not particularly happy about paying £20m for Jo either, but I wouldn't use Santa Cruz as an example of alternatives. There's better than either out there, I'm sure.

Podolski would be a happy medium IMO.

He knows how to finish, thats for sure. Concerned as to why he's not a regular for Bayern though, and his overall contribution to matches in this tournament has been less than impressive.

Would cost more than £20m.

We'd be way way down the queue.

He wants to stay in Spain.

The End.

Not sure we could get Villa for that but I reckon we could get Wigan and have enough left over to get Bolton too. Would this help us?

There's always a risk taking any player from Europe, on paper Bianchi shoulld have been a hit.

Like what I've seen of Mutu, but don't like the man or his baggage.

Ah right.....well I'd be happy if we could sign Kaka for a lucky bag and a ball of string in that case.

I like this game.

Doubt we'd get his baggage through customs!

Gee whizz, cracking player.

Just thought I'd get that one in before someone else did.

Blachburn!?!? Made me laugh for some reason.

Edit: only just noticed your location. Genius. "Oh! Mr. Porter" is a classic.

I'm havin' one of those days today. All fingers and thumbs. Proof... I even wrote thingers then and had to correct it. I say "thingers" out loud all the time. I think I have a blind spot for F's and TH's.

Classic film. Oh Mr Porter. I'd not seen it for years and I mentioned on here one day that I wanted to see it, so Cloudy sent it me. That and, Ask a Policeman, convict 99 and Boys will be boys.
