SportMediaset: Juventus have agreed personal terms with Carlos Tevez and only an acceptable offer to City is required to close the deal.

I wouldn't actually feel too bad about this. He's getting on a bit now and it'd make sense to sell him while he's not on strike. Appreciate all the goals but £20m towards Cavani would be handy.

I haven't been able to trust him since the Munich incident. I feel extremely uncomfortable having to cheer for arseholes like him, so I'll be glad to see the back of him.

The age of tevez is over.. Now comes the age of Cavani

if he goes we need two strikers to keep aguero and dzeko company.

i too am distinctly lacking in fucks to give about teveth going. some great moments for sure, but almost all obscured by his cuntery.

So let me get this straight strikerwise. Since Christmas we have got rid of Possibly the most talented lunatic, bought a man who is a better crosser than Beckham, are thinking about selling the only target man for these crosses, leaving us with 2 vertically challenged strikers, one of whom we now propose to sell.
All to fund another fellow who seems to be favouring any other club but us.

I'm reading reports that Tevez is going for around 7 to 8 million.

What the fuck is that all about? Surely he's worth around 20 mill, at least!

Last year of his contract and a little bit loopy so I wouldn't expect 20 but 8 is a piss take. It is silly season so there's a 98.7% chance its total bollocks.

Few people thinking that Tevez to Juve more or less done, going for €11 million.

Reports that Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez has agreed a four-year contract with Juventus. £8 million fee

Nah, having too many only causes problems, as we've seen this year. We definitely shouldn't have more than two world class strikers in the squad. I wouldn't have a problem starting the season with Aguero, Cavani and Guidetti (assuming he's fit). It's not as if we can't still put out an attacking formation with just one of those playing.

dunno, it makes me nervous about one getting injured or being off-form... means there's little options for changing to a more attacking line up when we're chasing a game and danger of fatigue what with all the games we will hopefully be playing.

I can see us starting next season with the same forwards we have now

But if you look at most top teams, there aren't many with more than 2 strikers plus one or two youngsters. We can still put out a ridiculously attacking 4-3-3 formation or a 4-2-3-1 formation with just one dedicated striker. Nasri, Silva and probably even Toure are all capable of doing a great job just behind the striker. Both of this year's CL finalists played with one dedicated striker, as did Chelsea when they won it, and Barcelona in their period of dominance. I wouldn't be too concerned myself if we started the season with 2 senior strikers and 2 younger ones.
