They would do.....

Juventus gm Marotta confirms that Tevez transfer could have been hijacked in last days 'by a very important foreign club'.It was Real Madrid

Tevez: "Targets of Juventus higher than targets of City. I spoke with Pellegrini & told him I wanted to leave. He understood my wish"

Hard to replace a player like tevez. Think his problem was with Mancini not the club. The way the players welcomed him back would suggest this anyway. In any case time we bought a striker because at this rate we'll soon have none left! ;)

not fucked that teveth has gone tbh. he was brilliant on the pitch, but he made the club look like cunts. i'll only regret it if his replacement is none existent

Don't quite get the doom mongering. Everyone is aware that the transfer window isn't even open yet? Pre-season hasn't even started yet.

We may get the targets we want, we may not. But it's so early yet. Plus, as the article from 365 touched on, if we are moving towards the Barcelona model then the classic centre forward isn't as big a priority as it might be. Again, I stress, I don't know what's happening or if we'll be successful with whatever course of action we take. But just because it's been nearly 2 weeks since we've signed anybody, it's no reason to panic.

I think the problem of doom and gloom is not that we haven't signed replacements but that all the good ones seem to be going elsewhere.

I think coods is right on with what he said, but bert also...

There seems to be a bit shuffling going on and its fair to say we want top name signings. as in isco.
So we have lost out on that lad, as we did hazard last season and i would not want us to seem mickey mouse and let these top players pass us by..

I just hope the powers that be know what they are doing..(im sure they are)..

The Isco thing bummed me out a bit but other than that I'm not too worried. I wouldn't have been comfortable spending £50m + on a 27 yr old Falcao. Other than that, everyone else still seems to be available. I'll be annoyed if Spuds or Arsenal get Higuian. We won't start the season with only 2 strikers though so there's no need to worry about that.

Madrid are trying to use him and Coentrão as makeweights in a deal for Bale according to reports today. One call from Sergio would have him on a plane to Manchester I reckon.

No worries, it's all in hand.
According to the OS we still have 4 strikers........

Strikers
Edin Dzeko (BIH)
Sergio Aguero (ARG)
John Guidetti (SWE)
Scott Sinclair (ENG)

We're sorted.

Sky Italia say Tévez reputedly told Llorente—"Perhaps you're useful for basketball, but in football I've never had a worse striker partner"
