Disagree. The amount of shit we've given our own players over the years. Edghill left the field at half time in tears once.

A lot of football fans are knobs. They expect their players to be shit hot every week, but can't understand why other well played professionals might do their jobs too when playing in another colour. E.g. Klasnic last week.

Plus they think players should be loyal, when they'd jump ship for a better job no questions asked.

Players are not fans and should not be judged as such in 2011.

First time I've agree with an onion.

I just hope that this "must have " pursuit of Nasri reaps the result we all want. I am still not convinced that we need him as much as mancini thinks. He could find himself on the bench more than he would like.

I am worried that we may be forming another group of dissenters in the so called 2nd XI . What about Zabaletta who was an integral and vital part of last year's success. If he is too long on the bench he will want away, likewise Milner/Barry, Johnson, Ballotelli Kolorov/Clichy, K Toure and, of course, Tevez.
Boateng and Given have already gone.

It's a squad game and we may have shit loads of games this year. Mancini is paid to manage situations like that anyway.
Out of that list I can only see Balo and possibly AJ kicking off tbf.
Tevez can fuck off whatever.

I think Nasri will play a big role this season, he is very versatile and can score a few. He is a ball carrier which (bar maybe Yaya) we haven't got and his passing rate in the final third is immense. It wouldn't surprise me if he took Yaya's place with Yaya moving back into Barry's.

I love this guy;

Man City midfielder Samir Nasri on Twitter: "This tweet is for the English newspapers - stop trying to made something between me and Arsenal, I love the club and everything around it."

Samir Nasri set to play in cast for Manchester City against Wigan• £24m midfielder breaks bone in hand playing for France
• Protective cast should allow him to make home debut

Samir Nasri will be fitted with a protective cast in an effort to ensure he can make his home debut for Manchester City this weekend after breaking a bone in his left hand while on international duty for France.

Nasri suffered the injury during a 15-minute substitute's appearance in France's goalless draw with Romania on Tuesday. He was able to finish the match after receiving a pain-killing spray but he left the stadium with a cast on his left hand and, on his return to Manchester, was taken to a private hospital for an x-ray.

The results will determine whether the £24m signing, who made his City debut in the 5-1 defeat of Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane two weekends ago, can play in the Premier League home game against Wigan Athletic on Saturday. The immediate sense at City is that the former Arsenal player will be cleared to play.

Kolo Touré may have to wait a little longer before his return. The defender's six-month ban for taking a prohibited substance has now elapsed but there are doubts about his match fitness after such a long time out of the team.

Totally forgot about this after hearing it this morning.

Nasri has left the french camp and returned to City with a Knee Injury. Heard someone mention the other day that he had tendonitis.

Laurent Blanc has confirmed he has bad tendonitis.

Some folk on t'other Forum are mentioning Hargreaves in the same breathe as what Nasris problem is. I hope it isn't as serious as that.

Hmmmmm, I am starting to want more from him. Last couple of games he has contributed little. In fairness at Napoli he was given 10 minutes to do a job but prior to that and today he has underwhelmed. I want more.
