fo 24 million quid and no excuse about adjusting to the english game i want this fella to start dictating big games. he had a good opportunity yesterday against two very limited players in lucas and adam and failed to deliver. i'm failing to see what role he plays tbh

Harsh. Lucas has matured into a very good defensive midfielder.

I figured he and Silva would rarely if ever be seen on the same pitch, similar players so if Silva has been shut our then Nasri has a whirl.

Playing them both together, not sure how that can work? Nasri had a fantastic debut game for us, and since then he has really been quiet.

Same. Lucas had a reasonable game yday, he does more than he gets credit for. He scouse player of the season last year, in fairness it wasn't exactly a stellar year for them, but either way.

lucas is a trier, even if he is a bit shit.

nasri and silva together on the pitch should have the oppo falling over their tangled feet, but just doesn't seem to have worked out like that. needs to do more of the stuff he did for l'arse - tearing through teams. does need to improve, although he still has a lot of assists for us and i don't think his contribution has been awful. just not enough.

Continues to disappoint. You could forgive him somewhat if he'd put in a shift but even that's not happening. Must do better! :(

7 assists, joint second in the league. Whats wrong with that?

Silva is 1st with 10.

I'm not one for stat's, you can twist them any way you like. I prefer to believe what I see with my own eyes and that's he isn't bursting a gut. He gives the ball away so often it's unreal. Add to that his feeble tackling, and twice today he ducked under the ball because it was struck with a bit of power.
Like I said must do better.

He's French, it's in his nature to be a coward. At giving assists he's damn fine though.

Nasri was doing some dirty shit last night, getting right up the noses of wiganers. A couple of wigan players gave him a right mouthful on occasion. Exactly what we need from a mid-fielder really. With Silva playing the box to box MF and all round good guy, Nasri plays the sideline to sideline MF with an element of dirty fucker to his play. Fair one.

I thought he had an ok game last night but would prefer that to be his general lowest standard. I think he's definitely better with Dzeko playing and against teams who push their fullbacks up rather than teams who're going to throw everyone behind the ball most of the time. I saw too many times last night where the ball came to him on the right and he was too crowded out to do anything so just passed the ball sideways/backwards again. Not enough movement.

I thought he did ok too..seemed to work quite hard..
in the 1st half some of our closing down/workrate was excellent..

He's a decent player, maybe just needs to find his groove...

Maybe we need to get Stella involved from a sports psychology perspective. If anyone knows, she knows how to get that dang thing back.

Ok I've had a little think about this post and I can definitely say I don't get it. I have an idea what you may be referring to but I'm nowhere near sure on it and would be quite surprised if it was what you were talking about so, er, enlighten me please.
