He doesn't have the experience to start, but I would bring him on during the 2nd half.

I'm guessing he's not ready yet.

I'd play Bellamy on the right.

I wouldn't start him no. Bellers for sure if SWP isn't available.

I would as Robbie is not yet fit enough to start, Bellers on the left and Weiss on the right, he is good enough for his country

I am certainly not questioning Vlad's undoubted talents, but it sure helps when your dad is the manager.

Petrov left and Bellers right has to be worth a shot.

Vlad's time will come.

Other than his goal, he looked pretty lost when he came on against Arsenal in the cup. No point in rushing the lad.

Ok now before i get shot down to pieces, Weiss started at the Nou camp in the friendly infront of probably 75 thousand people, and i know it really wasn't a top Barca side but still i reckon most of that Barca side are well better than the Sunderland players that will play on Saturday. If ever Weiss will get a chance and if Shaun is out it is on Saturday.

He didn't actually do much against Barca through, did he?

I'm all for giving the lad time on the pitch, but I'm not sure starting him in the league when we're going through a fairly rough patch of form is the best way to bring him through. He'll offer very little in the way of tracking back. At least Petrov's been doing more of that in his cameo roles this season.

And how would you know? You had to be at least a mile from the pitch.

I see were you are coming from but i'd like to see the lad get a decent chance before we start spending on more stars to cover the positions. We have a great youth system and i don't want to see what talent we already have go unlooked. I'm sure the owners said about our youth system before the season started but if they want what they want which is title holders and Champions league which is what we all want I fear the Kids may start getting overlooked.

Nah shouldn't start him yet. Cameo roles and cup starts will help him more than throwing him into the deep end straight away.

Vladimir Weiss has signed a new contract that keeps him at City until 2012.

The Slovakian International winger, who is heading for the World Cup this summer, scored with his first goal for the Blues against Arsenal last month.

The 20-year-old is yet to make a full Premier League start but is more than happy to put his name to a long-term agreement.

"I have been here for four years now and I came here to realise my first team ambitions. I am delighted to have signed this contract", he declared.

"I am excited about what the future holds and delighted that even with the players that City have got now, the club have given me the opportunity to progress and show that not only the big players can make it.

"The new deal shows that young players from the academy can progress. I am happy that I am one of them.

"I talk to Stephen Ireland quite a lot because for me he is an example to follow. I try to take as much information as possible from him. He is an incredible player who has made it and I hope I will be the next one."

City chief, Mark Hughes, was equally pleased to have secured the young wide-man's long-term services.

"Vladi has come on leaps and bounds in the last four months and is fast maturing as a player," he praised.

"He has all the attributes that electrify crowds and that can turn matches. He has shown he has the temperament for big games and we look forward to his further development."

MANCHESTER City manager Roberto Mancini has confirmed youngster Vladimir Weiss will be allowed to leave on loan this month.

The young Slovakian has been a regular on the bench for City this term but actual time on the pitch has been harder to come by.

Recognising he is trying to earn a place at this summer's World Cup and realising opportunities will be even further reduced once the campaign reaches its critical stage, Mancini has told Weiss he can seek a move.

Bolton's new boss Owen Coyle is among those who have expressed an interest in the 20-year-old, although the final decision will be left to the player.

"It is possible Vladimir will go somewhere on loan," said Mancini.

"He is a good young player who is going to be important to this club in the future.

"But he needs to play. We have not decided where though. That will be Vladimir's choice.

I really think this kid will go on to be something special.

I think a start would do the lad a world of good.
